I was lucky enough to be in Western Australia for the partial lunar
eclipse, in August, no tripod so the camera was rested on the car. Canon
40D and the Canon 400mm lens.

This Glory was photographed as we approached the landing in Mlebourne
Australia. Taken with a Canon Ixus75 on auto exposure, the most well
defined glory I have seen.

The lineup of the Moon, Regulus, Mars and Saturn, forming a nice
straight line in the early evening. Canon 40D and 70-200mm zoom at

The moon and Venus are very close together in the morning sky, as well

A halo around the sun forecasts rain within about 30 hours, and sure
enough that did occur. Using a fisheye lens f16 @ 1/650 sec ISO 200

A hot day followed this reddish sunrise, with the lenticular clouds
standing guard it was a very pleasant morning. Canon 40D 300mm lens at

Irization

Just before the sun had set we were witness to a colourful display of
irization of the clouds. The colours were extremely vivid and persisted

A threat of rain, with a NW wind, and the lenticular clouds, the sunset

What a sight....Murphys Law...a bit of cloud arrived to spoil the clear
night we had, but I managed to get some shots of the full eclipse, so
was satisified...The reddish/orange colour was very evident during this
phase of the eclipse....Canon 300D 300mm lens....f5.6 4 secs....

This was a rather unusual halo as the cloud is a lenticular and the
moonlight angling in from the side of the cloud. Colours were very
evident. !st exposure was 10 secs, the second was 2 secs. canon 300D,
then stacked.

A nice display of these rays, preceding a fall of snow and rough weather

antares occultation

The cloud clearance was just in the nick of time to catch the appearance
of the star , Antares, from the darkened limb of the Moon. Through the
scope Antares was shining in all its splendour, a beautiful orange glow.

astounding and magnificent, with its tail spreading over the

At the antisolar point emerges these anticrepuscular rays, quite
colourful and vivid.A little smike from a forest fire added a bit of
haziness to them

A chance look at the sky and Ol Sol and his dog were there...A very
faint dog appeared on the right side but very difficult to see, then it
