center of the disc.
Not the martian weather features like the northern polar haze, the morning

The prominent dark shape above the image center is Syrtis Major.
The brighter area beneath Syrtis Major is the large Hellas basin.

left of the southern polar cap. The northern polar cap region is covered by
some icy clouds.
