Unusual Sunrise

I have no name for this particular phenomenon. On May 9th '05 at
sunrise, a dark shadow appeared just before the sun crept over the
horizon, at the same spot. Quite puzzling - a reversed Sun Pillar ?=20

Aurora - Rainbow - May 14/15th 2005

On May 15th between 7:00 UTC and 8:00 UTC the activity seem to peak,
with these colours actually visible to the eyes. It was a magic night !

On April 10th '05 between 11:00 am and noon we had this 22* circular
halo.The small dot close to the sun is an airplane approaching Toronto.

Tangent Arc

I'm glad I waited a while! After a luckluster sunrise I photographed
some trees and noticed this Tangent Arc above the tree line.A few
minutes later I saw the sundogs lower in the shrubs.
I believe this could have been the "Upper Tangent" - part of a Sunhalo/
Sundogs?=20
Taken on Feb.25th 2005 with a 28-80mm lens, f:3.6 - 7.9 on automatic
setting.

This ghostly glow was a surprise Saturday morning at 5:00 a.m. est -
(10:00 UTC)
It floated like a green comet's tail at about 60 degree's right over our
street - but lasted no more than 20 minutes, before fading into the NE
direction.

My camera confirmed there was activity on Nov.11th from midnight to 1:00
a.m. local time (6:00 UTC)

In order to capture these sun pillars it took some fast camera-work.
Standing on a hill in blustery cold wind was no fun, but these pillars were
unusually tall, so I just had to be there!

Light Pillars January 2004.

Last Tuesday night (Jan.20/04) was a perfect night to see the Light pillars
in King City, Ontario.
It was cold, but without the windchill. I could even feel the ice crystals
softly drizzling on my face.
