Attempting to escape the Lake effect clouds in N.E Ohio another Astronomer friend and i made the decision to head to Southern Ohio for the Eclipse...Clear Sky Clock was forecasting 20-30% cloud coverage near Caldwell Ohio, turns out the forecast was right but with one problem the 30% of the sky that was cloudy was the East..South East portion of the sky. I still managed to get images through breaks in the high cirrus clouds......Lucky Me ;-) Image was taken Prime Focus...Meade 10" Schmidt Cassegrain ...F6.3 Focal Reducer...Nikon-F on Fuji 100 Super HQ....exposure not recorded. Amazes me how the color of Aurora can shift so much during an intense storm...all images taken on the 30th were exposed on the same roll of film so i believe the Golden Orange color to be true and natural.
