Submitted by: EQuay04@aol.com at Thu Sep 16 00:19:01 2004 UTC

This (relatively) bright sun dog seen to the right of the sun was visible for about a half hour and became very conspicuous as some dark clouds crossed in front of the sun. Imaged on 9/13/2004 17:36 EDT at Assateague Island. It was one of many atmospheric phenomena visible that day as unsettled weather came in. Equipment: Nikon CoolPix 5400 Lens zoom setting: unrecorded. No filters. Exposure: Automatic settings with fill flash ISO 50. Image is unretouched. Copyright: Edmund E.
