After a wonderful skywatching session during a clear night at a dark location near Ste-Camille-de-Leillie(130 km south-east from Québec city, Canada), we were leaving the place when this unexpected faint purple aurora appears few minutes before dawn. Wha t an happy end!!!...

Planetary conjunction of May 2002

This image was taken at St-Elzéar de Beauce(50 km south from Québec city,Canada) on 2002 May 5th. This triangular-shaped conjunction of Saturn, Mars and Venus was very amazing!!! Mercury is faintly visible above the horizon. Jupiter, also visible on this evening sky does not appear on this picture.
