A proton arc climbing to the zenith started a beautiful show on 24 july 2004 ( 25 july UT ) These aurora where like a green home fire. The clouds moved in to end the show but it was nice to see an aurora again after 2 months of emptiness ;) photo details : 16mm , 20mm or 28mm @ f 2,8 , ~15 sec , fuji superia 800 , 25 july 2004 UT © Dominic Cantin http://astrosurf.com/aurores

Submitted by: Dominic Cantin at Mon Jun 21 03:45:01 2004 UTC

After an excellent but short astronomy night on solstice day , on the road of return , I saw these NC , then I stopped my car and took some pictures :) It's the first time I see this kind of clouds that occur at an altitude of ~ 50 to 80 km in the atmosphere. It was beautiful to see that , I can't wait to see an other one !!! photo details : 20mm @ f 3 , 15 seconds , Polaroid High Definition Plus 400 , 20 june 2004 , St-Camille de Bellechasse ( 100 km S-E of Quebec city ) © Dominic Cantin http://astrosurf.com/aurores

Few minutes before the rising sun with Venus transiting.
