use a digital camera although there is some similarities to film some of
the
differences will take awhile to learn. A site with some helpful

Flying at 35,000 ft
Submitted by:

While flying back from Miami Fla. just before Thanksgiving weekend. I
had
the chance to see some great sights at 35,000 ft .Watched a rainbow pass
under
the plane. Really different to see one from above although I didn't get
to take a
picture of it I did get to photograph this. At times it appeared like a
perfect bulls eye

Circumzenithal Arc
Submitted by:
shansen at Mon Oct 18 23:30:01 2004 UTC
I believe this is a double Circumzenithal Arc as opposed to a
Circumzenithal Arc and a Tangent Arc. The lower Arc doesn't
seam to have the characteristics of a Tangent Arc. Please correct
me if I'm wrong.

Submitted by:
shansen at Wed Jun 23 23:53:01 2004 UTC
These two pictures of the Halo were taken on June 1st. Although the halo
was
a complete circle I couldn't get it all in the picture. There is what I
thought at first to
be a circular cloud but as I watched it became another halo only white
starting at
the sun and offset from the main halo. The second ring had no color as
the halo did. Does anyone know
what the second white ring was caused by.
