Georgian Bay Sunset

Submitted by: Brian & David Chapman at Mon Dec 15 15:36:02 2003 UTC

The day had been mostly cloudy with the odd thunderstorm when my son and I decided to take some pictures because of this small opening in the clouds. It turned out to be one of our best sunset pictures of the year. It didn't take long for the clouds to move infront of the sun again but we got what we could.

October 30th Northern Lights

Submitted by: Brian & David Chapman at Tue Dec 16 07:45:03 2003 UTC

This was a warm fall evening and this patch of red started out small and just kept getting wider and wider. We didn't think we would see anything like this for at least 10 years because of the Aurora Borealis cycle but we were thankfully wrong. My son and I got over 100 pictures each, that night on are Minolta 7, 5.2 Mega Pixel digital camera.. We were more then satisfied with our results.

Meaford Shoreline Sunset

Submitted by: Brian & David Chapman at Tue Dec 16 07:20:01 2003 UTC

This picture was taken with a Dimage 7, 5.2 Mega Pixels just like the rest of the pictures that are on this site. This camera was my son's and my first digital camera and it has hardly ever let us down. This sunset picture we took here was just a few hours before a northern light display. We had fun this day and evening.

Yellowish Sunset

Submitted by: Brian & David Chapman at Mon Dec 15 15:36:02 2003 UTC

This sunset was apart of the last one I put in, it was actually phase one of different colour variations. I prefer more colour in my sunsets but the yellow in this scene seem to suit it.

Country Sunset

This was taken in the fall. It actually had 3 phases of different colours to it. One when it was well up in the sky, another when it was just below the horizon and another flared up after that. It was one of the best evenings for getting a picture of the sunset for it gave you many opportunities to get one. Northern Lights

Submitted by: Brian & David Chapman at Wed Feb 12 01:32:01 2003 UTC

This picture was taken on October 8, 2002 and it was the best display of Northern Lights we got before the winter started. I'm Brian Chapman and I've been in photography for roughly 3 years now. I wish I lived farther so that I could see them more but when there is the slightest chance of Northern lights my son and I head out. This display was a lower level 10 around 130GW's.
