This image was taken on March 29, 2003 at 8:12 PM CST at the George Observatory at Brazos Bend State Park near Houston, Tx

Shutter speed: 15.0 sec Aperture: f/3.5 Camera: Canon EOS D60

I am guessing these are called flare dogs so if you have a correction to what this is called please let me know by emailing me at lx90@james-benton.com

Iridium Flare

This is my first image of an Iridium Flare. It is of the Iridium 18 satellite. Image taken on May 17, 2003 at 21:51 from the George Observatory in Houston TX.

Canon D60 with a 28-200mm lens at 28mm wide angle, piggyback on a Meade LX90. Image was cropped to size, no other editing.

Shutter speed: 31.0 sec Aperture: f/4.0 Date picture was taken: 05/17/2003 (Sat) Time picture was taken: 9:51 PM Camera model: Canon EOS D60

Milky Way

This image of the Milky Way was taken on May 1, 2003 3:13 am from Ft. Davis, Texas.

Single image, manually guided, piggyback on a Meade LX90 using Canon D60 with a 28-200mm lens at 28mm wide angle. Cropped, dark frame subtract, auto level adjust and a little sharpening.
