Surf the waves!!!

These are really cool wave clouds taken in Montreal,
Quebec on May 24th 2001. Taken with a Samsung Digimax
digital camera. The type of cloud formation is mainly
caused by a cold front interacting with a warm front.
Normally when you see these type of clouds, be
prepared for a major lightning storm, at least that's
what I've got that day!! hehe! Comments? Drop me an

The bow!

This is really a neat cloud formation, taken on May
31st 2002 during our first thunderstorm of the year. A
meteorologist told me that, that bow effect in the
clouds is caused by wind shear. Taken with a Samsung
Digimax digital camera in Montreal, Quebec.

May 31st 2002, the date of the first real thunderstorm
of the 2002 season. In fact during this day, the first
2002 Quebec tornado touched down in Packington near
the New-Brunswick border, it was a F2 tornado. This
picture of dark menacing mamatus clouds was taken with
a Samsung Digimax digital camera. Comments? Drop me an

Cumulonimbus cloud near Mt-Megantic
Submitted by:
Gaetan Cormier at Sat Feb 15 01:09:01 2003 UTC
This far away cumulonimbus cloud was shot at the foot
of Mt-Megantic, Quebec, Canada. This perticuliar
cumulonimbus cloud has it's anvil pierced wich shows
that a strong mesocyclone was doing it's work, it's
even possible that a tornado was on the ground at the
moment of this picture. This shot was taken on July
14th 2000 with a Canon A1 camera and 50mm lens. Got
comment's about this picture drop me an e-mail:

I took this amazing mamatus photo on July 23rd 2000 in
Ville LaSalle, Quebec. I really wasn't expecting this,
I was going outside to smoke a cigarette and there it
was!!! I immediately ran inside to get the camera and
just start shooting like crazy. This image was taken
with a regular Samsung 35mm automatic camera. If you
