March 19th, 2006 Aurora

We saw a nice subtle show this evening caused by flow from a coronal hole. It started with a bow about 04:30 UTC. It broke up briefly, went back to a bow, and then broke up again into discrete rays, lasting 45 minutes. Not a lot of activity, but it was FUN to see lights again.

We had a good show that started about local midnight. We had scouted this location out and were waiting for the lights to be right. The reds were just visible.
