Cary's latest forecast stated:  "However, during the following 12 to 18 hours, the IMF is expected to rotate into a southward orientation and produce possibly strong to intense storm conditions."

Any update to this?  12-18 hours following impact would be 0200-0800 UTC.

Gosh seems like it's been years since I was on this website

Interesting.....I wonder if this is a possibility or is this event fizzling out?

More importantly, should I nap in preparation of another long night or not?

Looks like another X Flare just occurred!  The shuttle crew are currently in an EVA. Will this affect them???

Maybe that flare helped us out because the Bz is heading south finally!

Bz is defintely moving south....Bz -15.
Hopefully it stays this way for a little while longer....

Does seem like the astronauts are working outside of the shuttle right now - hopefully they've chosen to cut this short, but does not appear to be the case given the live feed in progress.

Apparently the astronauts have spotted aurora over the UK and even a couple meteors...

Boy it's been hard to get through here.  I guess there's a lot of traffic.  Talked to a guy in Denmark, but he said he was socked in with clouds, so I couldn't get any report from there.  Has there been any sightings coming in?  I've been trying to check, but keep getting error messages.

This is my first post here and I thought I'd give hope to everyone by confirming a definite sighting from here in northeastern Ohio.

Aurroa is currently visible from my apartment in Madison, WI.  Heading out of the city now for a better look.  Good luck to the rest of you,

I just took a ride around the countryside with Mr. Dog - there were "brighter" clouds to the north - northwest that show a diffuse green glow when photographed.  Wistful optimism?  What do you think?

I am so impressed with my Canon 1D Mark II's night photographs - so much better than the 1D with its noise level!  If nothing else I really like the shot of the oak tree!

Still looking!
