Technical discussions of auroral activity, solar activity and related space weather topics.
The scientific area discussions can be simple or rather detailed. It's a great place to share information and learn more on a variety of levels. A couple of samples of the Scientific Discussion:

The software area is for discussing various space weather software including STD Aurora Monitor and SWIM (Space Weather Information Monitor). This is a sample of the SWIM part of the software area:
Discussions related to SWIM. Share new image layouts, experiences, problems and solutions.

And there are great photographs, discussions of how they were taken, and help in learning to take your own. This is but one example of a post from the Announcements / Discussions of New Photographs area:
Announce to the public and discuss the availability of new photographs here.
