Hi, short note, if someone might see this before the night is over...elsewhere

Here at 57 magnetic we had pretty decent night DESPITE of the modest Bz readings. 5 hours 3 substorms. First substorm around 19UTC filled half of the sky and more with moderately bright rays and bit of pulsations too. Faint half corona and bit of clear red in the west and east.

Around 21 utc another substorm, rays and long slow moving bright belts 10-15 degrees from the northern horizon AND wonderful spiral in the northeast above the horizon......spiral with 4 or 5 bands . maybe the greatest spiral i have seen....and lasted...5-10 minutes.

23 utc a third breakup....pulsation, rays and some bands...not that great, but pulsation was wild.

4th or 5th night with aurora to the zenith this fall

Thanks,

Tom E
Feels like good old times.....

sledgehammer and a common laboratory frog, we can assume it would be pretty bad." -- Dave Barry.
