Some coronal holes are always observable on the sun. Displays of the aurora therefore might be seen regularly from high latitudes.

Is there something wrong with ACE. The graphs don't seem to be updating.  Is there a mid-lat warning?  Will the current distrubance last until darkness here in the Eastern US?

Yeah, that guy on my SWIM software keeps telling me there is a mid latitude warning, oh, the sound of his voice...(just kidding Cary)
but it's pretty weird to see the statistical auroral oval almost nil. The canopus looks really good though! I'm not an expert, but yeah, it doesn't seem right. The KP is5 and predicted kp6+, and, of course, ist's sunny. AND Sunday.  I noticed that the good stuff happens a lot when I have to go to work early the next day, kinda like when it rains every other weekend.  At least it's not 5 degrees out! Smiley I think I'll charge my camera and just be tired tomorrow.  Good luck everyone!

The graph that SherryB posted a link to last night still shows storm conditions.
