while checking spaceweather.com site noticed LARGE appearing flare near spot 905 - also hydrogen image
seems to have some nice swirles reaching out some distance

According to spaceweather.com, the largest flare during the past 24 hours was only a B2. I think what you may be seeing is the filament that is near the sunspot. Here's an H-Alpha image that may help you see what I am talking about:
